In 2020, despite supply-chain disruptions due to COVID-19, consumer preference for wellness-supporting products and investments in new processing plants helped sustain market growth.

After peaking in 2020, market volume contracted to 657 million liters in 2021 and further to 601 million liters in 2022. This decline occurred alongside ongoing regulatory developments, including updated FSSAI labeling standards, and increasing competition from new market entrants. By 2023, the market stabilized at 598 million liters, supported by a rise in juice exports driven by global demand and significant investments in expanding production capacity.

The highest value was in 2018 at 47 807 thousand US dollars, which followed a 3.0% increase that year.
