Fresh grape imports into Eastern Africa declined for the second consecutive year. In 2020, imports reached 7 944 tonnes, a 16.9% decrease from the previous year. From 2017 to 2020, imports fell by 14%, equivalent to an annualized rate of 4.9%. The highest volume was recorded in 2018 at 11 465 tonnes, with the largest increase also occurring in 2018, rising by 24.2%.
