The market recovered to 4 858 t in 2024. This growth was driven by the rising popularity of specialty and functional coffees, which require high-quality extracts and concentrates. Furthermore, the implementation of Croatia's special tax on coffee and non-alcoholic beverages influenced the market's pricing structure during this period.

Foreign coffee extracts, concentrates and preparations supplies from Croatia increased for the second consecutive year. In 2020, exports totalled 1 729 t, reflecting a strong improvement of 14.3% year-over-year. Between 2017 and 2020, exports decreased by 2.7%, equating to an annualized rate of 0.9%. The minimum value was recorded in 2018 at 1 480 t, with the largest decline also occurring in 2018 at 16.7%.

Throughout 2017–2020, Serbia (39.7% of exports in kind), Slovenia (33.2% of exports in kind), and Bosnia and Herzegovina (19.8% of exports in kind) remained the key partners in exports in kind, together accounting for 92.7% of total flows.

After a two-year decline, Croatia's coffee extracts, concentrates and preparations export volume increased. In 2020, exports amounted to 14 147 K $ US, marking a rise of 2.2% compared to the previous year. Over the period 2017-2020, exports decreased by 10.8%, with a CAGR of 3.7%. The minimum value was recorded in 2019 at 13 845 K $ US, with the largest decline also occurring in 2019 at 8.8%.
