Croatia's ice cream production declined for the second consecutive year. In 2020, output was valued at 75 197 thousand US dollars, marking a 19.2% decrease from the previous year. From 2017 to 2020, production fell by 8.6%, which translates to an average annual decline of 2.9%. The highest value was recorded in 2018 at 93 202 thousand US dollars, with the largest increase that year at 13.3%.

Over the 2017-2020 period, production decreased by 8.4%, with a compound annual growth rate of -2.9%. The peak was in 2019 at 33 092 tonnes, while the largest increase occurred in 2018 at 7.8%.

After a two-year rise, Croatia's ice cream exports declined. In 2020, exports stood at 8 372 tonnes, down 14.7% from the previous year. From 2017 to 2020, exports overall increased by 15.6%, averaging 4.9% annually. The highest volume was recorded in 2019 at 9 819 tonnes, with the largest increase in 2018 at 18.1%.

From 2017 to 2020, Bosnia and Herzegovina (36.0% of exports in volume), Hungary (24.7%), and Serbia (15.4%) were the top destinations for Croatia's ice cream exports, collectively accounting for 76.1% of total flows.
