In 2020, CIS countries produced 2 871 tons of chicory, showing minimal change from the previous year. The lowest production level was recorded in 2018 at 2 867 tons. That same year saw the largest decline of 1.4%, while 2019 experienced the biggest increase of 0.5%.

The data shows irregular changes, pointing to a volatile market environment. Export values peaked in 2018 at 90 thousand US dollars and dropped to their minimum in 2020 at 15 thousand US dollars, a 5.9-fold decrease. In 2020, CIS exports of chicory fell sharply by 73.2% year-over-year. The largest increase was recorded in 2018 at 81.7%.
