Earlier Report Observations
The cereal germ market in Western Asia grew consistently from 2018 to 2021, with total volume rising from 957 thousand tons to 1.07 million tons. This expansion was supported by increasing domestic production, which climbed from 879 thousand tons to 945 thousand tons, and a simultaneous surge in imports, which more than doubled from 79 thousand tons to 128 thousand tons.
Following the 2021 peak, the market volume stabilized at 1.07 million tons in 2022 before contracting to 1.06 million tons in 2023.
