Ethiopia's barley production increased for the second consecutive year. In 2020, the country produced 2 622 K t of barley, marking a 10.3% year-over-year rise. Between 2017 and 2020, production grew by 17.6%, averaging an annualized rate of 5.5%. The lowest production was recorded in 2018 at 1 969 K t, which saw the largest decline of 11.7%. In contrast, 2019 experienced the largest increase of 20.8%.
