The market for fresh apples, pears and quinces in Pakistan demonstrated continuous expansion from 2018 to 2023, with total volume increasing from 589.5 thousand tons to 877.2 thousand tons. This represented a cumulative growth of nearly 50% over the six-year period, with the market size rising each year.

Domestic production formed the core of market supply, growing steadily from 559.3 thousand tons in 2018 to 853.7 thousand tons in 2023. Imports surged to 67.4 thousand tons in 2019 but then declined and stabilized at a lower level around 24 to 29 thousand tons, while export volumes remained negligible throughout.

The consistent rise in local output drove the overall market growth, which reached 877.2 thousand tons by 2023. The expansion in production more than offset the reduction in import volumes observed after the 2019 peak.
