The alcoholic beer market in Trinidad and Tobago contracted sharply between 2018 and 2020, with its volume falling from 83 million liters to 54 million liters. This decline of over one-third was primarily driven by a significant drop in domestic production, which more than offset changes in trade flows.

Following this contraction, the market entered a phase of stabilization and gradual recovery from 2021 to 2023. Volume saw modest growth during this period, reaching 55.6 million liters by 2023, supported by a steady increase in domestic production capacity.
