The overall reduction in volume occurred alongside a steady expansion of both import and export flows.

This growth in value despite lower volume indicates a shift towards higher-priced products or general price inflation within the segment. The increase was particularly pronounced after 2020, with the market value peaking in 2022.

The structure of supply changed markedly, as domestic production more than halved in volume. This was offset by growing imports, which became the dominant source of supply. Simultaneously, exports grew substantially, rising fourfold in tonnage, which moderated the net volume available on the domestic market and contributed to the overall decline in market size.
