In the following years, the sector's development was marked by deepened foreign involvement and technological upgrades. For instance, production of uranium concentrate reportedly increased by 11% in 2023 due to modernized facilities. The partnership with CNNC evolved to include plans for expanding mining capacities and jointly studying the construction of small modular nuclear power plants, which could create future domestic demand. Active geological exploration led to the discovery of new deposits, further securing the raw material base for sustained production.
