From 2018 to 2021, the market volume of unroasted, not decaffeinated coffee in Guinea grew from 226 thousand tons to 258 thousand tons. This expansion was primarily driven by the launch and continued funding of the AgriFARM project, which strengthened sustainable family farming and improved market access for producers. The implementation of an agricultural land management roadmap in 2021 further enhanced resource planning, supporting increased production and domestic supply.

After reaching a peak in 2021, the market volume declined to 244 thousand tons in 2022, as production remained stable while export volumes rose. Government efforts to ensure supply and price stability through agreements with the private sector provided secondary support for the domestic market. However, by 2023, production fell sharply to 200 thousand tons, leading to a market volume of 194 thousand tons, marking a significant contraction in the sector.

After two years of growth, Guinea's production volume of unroasted, non-decaffeinated coffee declined. In 2020, the country produced 242.7 thousand tons, which remained largely unchanged from 2019. Over the 2017-2020 period, production increased by 12%, translating to an annualized growth rate of 3.8%. The peak was recorded in 2019 at 243.7 thousand tons, with the largest annual increase occurring in 2018 at 8.5%.

In 2020, Guinea exported 6,987 tons of unroasted, non-decaffeinated coffee, marking a sharp increase of 50.6% compared to 2019. However, over the 2017-2020 period, exports decreased by 4.3%, with a compound annual growth rate of -1.5%. The lowest export volume was recorded in 2019 at 4,641 tons, while the highest was in 2018 at 8,812 tons. The most significant decline occurred in 2019, dropping by 47.3%.

Between 2017 and 2020, Morocco and Senegal consistently represented 81.3% of Guinea's total coffee exports in volume, indicating a highly concentrated market with a long tail of smaller destinations.

In 2020, Guinea's exports of unroasted, non-decaffeinated coffee amounted to 8,136 thousand US dollars, up by 4.1% from the previous year. Over the 2017-2020 period, however, export value decreased by 31.2%, equating to an annualized decline of 11.7%. The lowest value was recorded in 2019 at 7,816 thousand US dollars, while the peak was in 2018 at 16,099 thousand US dollars. The largest decline occurred in 2019 at 51.4%, and the largest increase was in 2018 at 36.1%.
