From 2018 to 2023, the Tunisian strawberry market saw a gradual decrease in physical volume from 10 264 t to 9 456 t, while its value increased from 44.2 million USD to 56.9 million USD. This rise in market value was primarily driven by higher strawberry prices, as evidenced in 2018 and 2019 when wholesale prices at Bir El Kassaa market surged due to supply constraints and economic control campaigns influencing fruit and vegetable pricing.

Export growth contributed to the market's dynamics, overcoming initial challenges such as the need to import packaging from Europe. By 2022, the strawberry festival in Korba and activities by major processor Groupe Stifen helped promote strawberries in fresh, frozen, and cooked forms, supporting export expansion. Production remained heavily concentrated in the Nabeul region, with Korba alone accounting for 57% of regional output.

Production volumes remained relatively stable around 10 000 t annually through 2023. However, rising production costs and climate-related challenges, noted in later periods, began affecting cultivation areas. The market's value growth was sustained through price adjustments and increased export activity, despite the gradual decline in physical consumption volume.
