Regulatory measures added further dynamics. In 2022, mandatory origin labeling for beef, pork, poultry, and sheep meat took effect, enhancing transparency for consumers. This period saw a market rebound to 109 973 kg, supported by renewed import flows. By 2023, prolonged drought reduced pasture availability and drove up animal feed expenses, squeezing domestic production and contributing to a market decline to 104 763 kg.
