Domestic production was strengthened by companies like POLIMAT expanding its acrylic product range, and Poland maintained its role as a major exporter in Europe. The market's growth was further shaped by regulatory measures affecting sanitary equipment standards and broader shifts in plastic industry policies.

In 2020, output was valued at 255.7 million US dollars, a slight decrease of 0.9% compared to the previous year. Production peaked in 2019 at 257.9 million US dollars. Over the period from 2017 to 2020, production grew by 28.2%, which translates to an annualized rate of 8.6%. The most significant increase occurred in 2018, with a jump of 19.5%.

Poland exported 24 653 tonnes of plastic baths, sinks, and wash-basins in 2020, up by 6.8% year-over-year. Exports saw their largest decline in 2019, dropping by 0.1%, while the biggest increase was in 2018 at 14.6%. From 2017 to 2020, exports rose by 22.3%, equating to an annualized growth rate of 6.9%.

Between 2017 and 2020, Germany, Czechia, and Ukraine were the top buyers of plastic baths, sinks, and wash-basins from Poland, accounting for 28.1%, 10.3%, and 9.2% of exports in kind, respectively. However, their combined share was only 47.6% of total exports, indicating a diversified market structure with many other countries involved.

The lowest import volume was in 2018 at 4 881 tonnes, which also saw the largest decline of 15.9%. The most significant increase occurred in 2019, with a surge of 67.5%. Overall, from 2017 to 2020, imports grew by 123.3%, averaging an annualized rate of 30.7%.

During 2017-2020, China, Slovakia, and Egypt were consistently the main sources for Poland's imports of plastic baths, sinks, and wash-basins in kind. China dominated with 57.1% of imports, followed by Slovakia at 11.9% and Egypt at 10.4%. Together, these three countries made up 79.5% of total import volume.
