The market for non-cellular, not reinforced polystyrene sheets in Poland contracted between 2018 and 2020, with physical volume falling from 60 840 t to 53 825 t and value declining from $197.0 million to $160.8 million. This reduction coincided with a steady decrease in domestic production, which dropped by nearly 15% in tonnage over the period.

Import volumes, a major component of market supply, also declined from 44 370 t in 2018 to 39 203 t in 2020. From 2021 onward, imports exhibited volatility, peaking that year before falling again, while exports remained relatively stable, consistently ranging between 8 300 t and 10 200 t annually through 2024.
