The volume of the Canadian unfermented pineapple juice market fluctuated between 2018 and 2023, reaching a high of 8.9 million liters in 2019 before declining to 7.9 million liters in 2020. It recovered to 8.7 million liters in 2021 but then contracted sharply to 7.4 million liters in 2022 and further to 6.1 million liters in 2023.

These movements were primarily driven by changes in trade flows. Import volumes, which constitute the bulk of market supply, peaked at 9.3 million liters in 2022 before falling to 7.9 million liters in 2023. Simultaneously, export volumes surged from an average of under 500,000 liters annually to over 2.4 million liters in 2022 and 2023, significantly reducing net available volume. Domestic production remained stable at around 500,000–550,000 liters per year.

For 2024, preliminary trade data shows a decline in both imports and exports, with imports at 7.2 million liters and exports at 753,000 liters. Broader industry trends during the period included a growing consumer focus on health and natural beverages, as well as innovations in sustainable packaging, which influenced product offerings and positioning.
