Simultaneously, new food labeling requirements under the Eurasian Economic Union’s technical regulation, effective January 1, 2022, mandated better traceability. By 2023, the market stabilized at 372.8 тыс. т alongside the further implementation of mandatory DataMatrix coding and rising interest in quick-preparation food products.

In 2024, imports climbed to 382.8 тыс. т, with Turkey, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, and China serving as the main suppliers. Legislative amendments concerning food labeling and quality control remained active influences on the market.
