Albania's market volume for peaches and nectarines, measured in tons, showed a volatile trajectory from 2018 to 2023. After a stable start at around 24 000 tons, consumption declined steadily over three years, reaching a low of 19 358 tons in 2021. This was followed by a sharp recovery, with the market expanding to 22 241 tons in 2022 and then surging to 26 015 tons in 2023, the highest level in the period.

The market's fluctuations were closely tied to changes in international trade. Imports of peaches and nectarines fell dramatically from 4 849 tons in 2018 to just 278 tons in 2022, before partially rebounding. Simultaneously, domestic production increased each year, rising from 19 472 tons to 22 937 tons. These shifts altered the supply structure, with the market becoming increasingly reliant on homegrown fruit.
