The market volume contracted to 13.4 billion cubic meters in 2024. By 2025, oxygen production had recovered to 13.6 billion cubic meters.

Production oxygen in Russia

Russia's oxygen production has grown for the third year in a row. In 2021, the country produced 14 060 million cubic meters of oxygen, which represents a 2.7% increase compared to the previous year. Exports oxygen from Russia

After two years of growth, Russia's oxygen exports declined in 2021. The country exported 6 452 thousand cubic meters of oxygen last year, marking a sharp drop of 54.6% from 2020. Over the 2018-2021 period, exports decreased by 5.8%, with an average annual decline of 2.0%. The largest increase occurred in 2019, when exports jumped by 54.5%, while the peak volume was recorded in 2020 at 14 202 thousand cubic meters.

From 2018 to 2021, Russia's oxygen exports in volume terms were heavily concentrated on Belarus, which accounted for 71.6% of total shipments. The remaining volume was distributed among other trading partners.

Russia's oxygen exports in value terms have increased for the third consecutive year. In 2021, the country exported oxygen worth 1 823 thousand US dollars, up 3.1% from 2020. Between 2018 and 2021, export value grew by 41.1%, which translates to an average annual growth rate of 12.2%.
