Earlier Report Observations

The Polish orange juice market in 2018 was shaped by the strong dominance of the Tymbark and Hortex brands, whose one-liter carton and bottle packages were particularly popular. This established a stable base, with market volume reaching 49,827 thousand liters that year and growing to 54,171 thousand liters in 2019.

A gradual contraction followed, with the market volume declining to 52,292 thousand liters in 2020 and 49,753 thousand liters in 2021.

From 2022 onward, the market experienced a sharp downturn. Volume plummeted to 39,537 thousand liters in 2022 and further to 36,627 thousand liters in 2023. This decline was primarily driven by a surge in global orange juice prices triggered by adverse weather, citrus greening disease, and poor harvests in key producing countries like Brazil and the USA, which constrained supply and reduced consumer demand. In 2023, lower worldwide production and negative consumer sentiment regarding personal finances exacerbated the market contraction.
