In value terms, the market also grew to 1.36 million USD in 2023. Domestic production remained stable between 1.05 and 1.17 million liters, while imports and exports showed significant volatility, with import peaks in 2021 followed by a downward trend.

In 2024, global orange juice supply constraints sharply affected Moldova's trade flows. A production drop in Brazil and Florida—caused by citrus greening disease and extreme weather—led to worldwide price surges and shortages. This translated into lower import volumes (187 thousand liters) and reduced exports (138 thousand liters), reflecting tighter availability and higher costs on the international market.
