Russia's production of non-coniferous roundwood declined for the second consecutive year. In 2020, output reached 45 501 K m³, remaining virtually unchanged from 2019. Over the 2017-2020 period, production increased by 2.8%, averaging an annual growth rate of 0.9%. The highest production level was recorded in 2018 at 49 198 K m³, which represented an 11.1% increase. The largest decline occurred in 2019, with a drop of 7.5%.

The export market for non-coniferous roundwood from Russia showed significant volatility during these years. In 2019, exports hit their lowest point at 3 813 K m³, marking a 35.0% decline. In value terms, Russia's non-coniferous roundwood exports showed notable fluctuations. The lowest value was recorded in 2019 at 442.6 M $ US, reflecting a 20.3% decline. The highest value occurred in 2018 at 555.3 M $ US, which represented a 16.2% increase. By 2020, exports rose to 493.2 M $ US, showing an 11.4% increase from 2019. Over the entire 2017-2020 period, exports grew by 3.2%, averaging an annual growth rate of 1.0%.

Russia's imports of non-coniferous roundwood experienced noticeable fluctuations. In 2018, imports peaked at 4 K m³, representing a 164.7% increase. By 2020, imports dropped sharply to 0.4 K m³, marking a 74.3% decline from the previous year and reaching the lowest level of the period. The difference between the maximum in 2018 and the minimum in 2020 was 9.8 times.
