Following a two-year decline, malt production in Eastern Asia rebounded. In 2020, the region produced 4 825 K t of malt, marking a significant 45.9% increase compared to 2019. Over the 2017-2020 period, production grew by 3.3%, with an average annual growth rate of 1.1%. The lowest production level was recorded in 2019 at 3 308 K t, while the largest decline occurred in 2018 with a 19.9% drop.
