From 2020 onward, the Colombian malt market entered a phase of sustained growth, with volume climbing from 174.3 thousand tons in 2020 to 201.8 thousand tons in 2022. This upward trend continued into 2023, when the market reached 224.7 thousand tons.

The market's expansion in 2023 coincided with heightened competition and product innovation, notably Bavaria's expansion of its malt portfolio with Pony Malta Vital.
