The Turkish market for maize bran, sharps and residues began the period at 402.9 thousand tonnes in 2018 before contracting sharply to 331.1 thousand tonnes the following year, a decline of nearly 18%. This marked a significant downturn from the initial high volume.

A recovery phase commenced in 2020, with market volume rising to 354.2 thousand tonnes. After stabilizing around 353-360 thousand tonnes in 2021 and 2022, the market saw its strongest annual growth in 2023, expanding by 7.9% to reach 389.2 thousand tonnes, close to the level observed at the start of the period.
