Liquid egg exports from Northern Europe declined for the second consecutive year. In 2020, export value stood at 52.2 million US dollars, down 20.4% year-over-year. Over the period from 2017 to 2020, exports increased by 4.2%, with an average annual growth rate of 1.4%. The highest value was recorded in 2018 at 65.7 million US dollars, with the largest increase of 31.1% also in that year.

Between 2017 and 2020, imports decreased by 13.9%, equating to an annualized rate of 4.8%. The highest volume was recorded in 2018 at 72 378 tonnes.
