This rebound was supported by the dynamic entry of AMBYX into the wine market with new labels and vineyard investments, aiming to double its market share. Furthermore, the acquisition of the Malatina winery by the Mantis Group in 2021 and its subsequent turnover growth added competitive momentum, while a reported 14% decline in national wine production in 2022 influenced supply conditions.

In 2024, market volume declined to 4.9 million liters, with value slightly dipping to 24.5 million USD. The market continued to face headwinds from the Special Consumption Tax policy, which has persistently burdened final product prices and reduced legal sales of spirit drinks over the long term.
