Production increased to 414 million liters in 2020, while the market volume stabilized at 380 million liters. By 2021, production declined to 405 million liters, and the market volume dropped to 357 million liters, alongside significant export growth from 36 million liters in 2018 to 76 million liters in 2021.

In 2022, beer production in Greece reached a record 565 million liters, a 41% increase from 2021, driven by investment plans from major breweries like Athenian Brewery and the development of new segments including low-alcohol beers. The following year, the market saw anticipated price increases due to inflation and sustained export activity, supported by ongoing technological upgrades from large breweries.

In 2019, Greece's beer production declined by 11.4% to its lowest volume. The following year, in 2020, output rose by 4.0% to 413.5 million liters. The following year, exports began to recover, and by 2020 they reached 60,890 thousand liters, representing a significant 31.5% increase from 2019. Over the 2017-2020 period, exports expanded by 68.6%, growing at an average annual rate of 19.0%.

From 2017 to 2020, Albania, Bulgaria, and Cyprus were the primary markets for Greece's beer exports by volume. Albania accounted for 39.5% of total exports, Bulgaria for 20.8%, and Cyprus for 6.2%. Together, these three countries represented 66.6% of Greece's beer export flows during this period.
