The market volume for unfermented grape juice in Montenegro contracted significantly from 555 thousand liters in 2018 to 347 thousand liters in 2023, representing a 37% decline over the six-year period. This overall downward trend was interrupted only in 2021, when volume grew by 10% to reach 483 thousand liters.

After the 2021 recovery, the market volume fell by 12% in 2022 and a further 18% in 2023. Import volumes, which were minimal for most of the period, showed a slight increase in the later years, though domestic production remained the primary source of supply.
