In 2020, the value of globe artichoke production in the CIS reached 12 377 thousand US dollars, marking a sharp increase of 25.1% compared to 2019. Over the period from 2017 to 2020, production value grew by 23.6%, with an average annual rate of 7.3%. The lowest value was recorded in 2019 at 9 891 thousand US dollars, which also saw the largest decline of 2.9%.

From 2017 to 2020, the country structure of imports in kind was highly diversified. Lebanon accounted for 17.4% of imports, Tunisia for 15.7%, and France for 13.3%, together making up 46.4% of total flows. The remaining 53.6% consisted of a long tail of smaller markets.
