The category's popularity was further boosted by the rising interest in flavored variants and the expansion of gin into mass-market channels through private labels from discount retailers.

Market volume peaked in 2023 but contracted sharply to 3.29 million liters in 2024. This decline coincided with a doubling of the share of non-alcoholic gin alternatives, as consumers increasingly sought alcohol-free options. At the same time, consumption of cheaper, lower-quality gin fell in favor of premium products, which may have reduced overall volume while supporting value.
