The Peruvian market for frozen vegetables excluding potatoes, legumes and maize experienced notable volatility from 2018 to 2023. Market volume started at 11 592 t in 2018, dipped to 10 418 t in 2019, then climbed steadily to reach 15 059 t in 2021. However, it contracted sharply to 9 520 t in 2022 before rebounding to 13 882 t in 2023.

Domestic production followed a similar pattern, falling from 30 546 t in 2018 to 24 168 t in 2022, which was the primary driver of the market's decline in that year. Imports surged from 457 t in 2018 to a high of 2 715 t in 2021, supporting market growth, but then dropped to 623 t in 2023. Exports, on the other hand, declined consistently from 19 411 t in 2018 to 11 361 t in 2023, increasing the supply available for the domestic market in recent years.

In 2024, import volumes held steady at 628 t, while exports decreased to 10 124 t, continuing the trend of reduced foreign trade activity.
