In 2024, the grape cultivation sector confronted significant challenges, including drought and a shortage of agricultural labor in key regions like Grombalia, which reduced vineyard area and affected harvest volumes and quality. Despite widespread food price inflation, wholesale prices for fresh grapes remained stable. Industry discussions also highlighted the need to renew table grape plantations with seedless varieties to align with evolving consumer demand.
