In 2020, the country produced 13 956 tonnes, representing a 10.8% year-on-year increase. Between 2017 and 2020, production rose by 7%, translating to an average annual growth rate of 2.3%. The lowest volume was in 2018 at 12 037 tonnes, which also experienced the biggest decline of 7.7%.

Croatia's exports of folding cartons, boxes and cases of non-corrugated paper or paperboard have increased for the second consecutive year. In 2020, exports totaled 4 641 tonnes, up 12.3% from 2019. From 2017 to 2020, exports surged by 53.3%, with an average annual growth of 15.3%. The lowest export volume was in 2018 at 2 467 tonnes, which saw the largest decline of 18.5%. In contrast, 2019 recorded the biggest increase of 67.5%.

Between 2017 and 2020, Slovenia, Serbia, and Bosnia and Herzegovina were the top destinations for Croatia's exports of folding cartons, boxes and cases of non-corrugated paper or paperboard. Slovenia accounted for 34.6% of exports in kind, Serbia for 25.7%, and Bosnia and Herzegovina for 13.7%. Together, these three countries made up 74.0% of total export flows.
