The market partially recovered in 2023, with consumption rising to 1 395 thousand tons as export volumes eased slightly to 1 396 thousand tons. Throughout the period, Myanmar's production base remained robust, with annual output fluctuating narrowly between 2.77 and 2.83 million tons, underscoring the country's role as a major global producer.
