In 2020, Turkey produced 9 878 tonnes, marking a gradual increase of 5.4% compared to the previous year. The lowest production level was recorded in 2019 at 9 372 tonnes, while the largest drop occurred in 2018 with a 6.1% decrease.

After two years of decline, Turkey's exports of chemically modified fats and oils saw a resurgence. In 2020, Turkey exported 3 722 tonnes, showing a sharp rise of 36.4% year-over-year. Over the 2017-2020 period, exports overall decreased by 32%, with a compound annual growth rate of -12.1%. The lowest export volume was in 2019 at 2 729 tonnes, which also saw the largest decline of 43.0%.

Between 2017 and 2020, the Netherlands, the United Arab Emirates, and Italy were the primary destinations for Turkey's exports of chemically modified fats and oils in volume terms. The Netherlands accounted for 41.1% of exports, the UAE for 12.3%, and Italy for 6.0%, collectively making up 59.4% of total export flows.
