This recovery was primarily driven by rising agricultural prices, which incentivized farmers to expand cultivation areas. Growth continued into 2023, with production of 1 408 thousand tons, bolstered by the development of greenhouse vegetable growing and increased state support for the industry.

Throughout the period, ongoing investments in agricultural technologies and storage infrastructure, noted in industry reports, contributed to the modernization of the sector, even as overall market volumes remained sensitive to external shocks and demand fluctuations.
