The physical volume of the carrots and turnips market in Ireland fluctuated between 2018 and 2023. After peaking at 75 152 tons in 2018, it declined to 70 922 tons in 2020, then recovered strongly to 81 702 tons in 2021. A slight dip followed in 2022 before rising again to 81 827 tons in 2023, resulting in an overall increase of approximately 9% over the six-year period.

In monetary terms, the market exhibited a much sharper upward trend.
