Market conditions shifted in 2021, as a 9.2% increase in market value to 30.2 million US dollars reflected growing consumption and interest, driving the volume up to 6 558 metric tons. The following year, Pakistan emerged as the world's leading exporter of camel meat, with exports worth 3.55 million US dollars, encouraging production and supporting a further rise in domestic market volume to 6 596 metric tons.

In 2023, the market value dropped by 1.2% to 31.7 million US dollars, ending the previous upward trend, which was attributed to a pronounced decline in consumption. However, the physical volume continued to expand to 6 737 metric tons, influenced by rising export prices and global supply chain adjustments that affected price competitiveness.
