Exports bread from Slovenia

Slovenia's bread export volume experienced a two-year increase before declining. In 2019, exports peaked at 17 412 t. By 2020, they had dropped to 15 572 t, showing a significant decrease of 10.6% compared to 2019. The largest increase was recorded in 2018, with a growth of 7.5%.

From 2017 to 2020, Italy, Croatia, and Austria were consistently the main destinations for Slovenia's bread exports in kind. Italy accounted for 52.5% of exports, Croatia for 25.1%, and Austria for 8.1%. Together, these three countries made up 85.6% of total export flows.

Slovenia's bread exports in value terms advanced for two years before declining. In 2019, exports reached their highest point at 40 221 K $ US. By 2020, they had fallen to 35 934 K $ US, reflecting a solid year-on-year drop of 10.7%. Over the 2017-2020 period, exports increased by 14.5%, with a compound annual growth rate of 4.6%.
