Volume expanded rapidly from 1 506 t in 2018 to a peak of 2 727 t in 2020, representing growth of over 80% in just two years. This surge was followed by a sharp contraction in 2021, when the market fell by 40% to 1 629 t. The decline continued at a slower pace through 2022 and 2023, bringing the market size to 1 302 t by the end of the period.

Domestic production followed a similar pattern, rising from 1 235 t in 2018 to 2 323 t in 2020 before dropping to 1 566 t in 2023. Imports, which had contributed significantly to market growth in 2019 and 2020, fell sharply from 404 t in 2020 to nearly zero by 2023. Concurrently, exports emerged from 2021 onward, reaching 264 t in 2023, which further reduced the volume available domestically.
