The Greek market for fresh or chilled beans began the period at over 57 000 t in 2018 but faced a sharp reduction the following year, dropping to around 43 000 t. This represented a decline of more than 25%, setting a lower baseline for the market.

After remaining stable in 2020, volumes recovered slightly in 2021 to nearly 47 000 t. However, this increase was short-lived, as the market contracted again in 2022 to 36 000 t and further in 2023 to approximately 27 000 t, continuing the downward trend.

Overall, from 2018 to 2023, the market for beans in Greece shrank by more than half, showing a consistent pattern of decline with only a brief interruption in 2021.
