Greece's apricot production grew for the second year in a row. In 2020, the country produced 125.6 thousand tons of apricots, marking a modest increase of 6.2% from the previous year. Over the 2017-2020 period, production rose by 10.4%, with an average annual growth rate of 3.4%. The lowest production level was in 2018 at 108.6 thousand tons, which saw the largest decline of 4.6%. In contrast, 2019 recorded the highest growth at 9.0%.

Greece's apricot exports declined for the third consecutive year. In 2020, export volume stood at 21 544 tons, reflecting a 6.5% year-on-year decrease. From 2017 to 2020, exports fell by 12.7%, translating to an average annual decline of 4.4%.
