Earlier Report Observations

The Polish apple juice market opened the period at $150 million in 2018 and grew to $181 million by 2019, before retreating to $161 million in 2020. During this time, the processing industry utilized nearly 70% of apples, underscoring the importance of processing, while promotional campaigns by the Polish Fruit Growers Association helped secure new export destinations like Egypt.

Market size rebounded to $196 million in 2021, supported by a strong surge in apple concentrate production during the 2021/22 season, which reinforced Poland's position as a European leader in juice manufacturing. Growth continued in 2022, with the market reaching $214 million.

A significant shift occurred in 2023 as consumer preferences moved toward not-from-concentrate (NFC) apple juices, driving market value up to $285 million despite lower concentrate output due to poor harvests and high raw material prices. In 2024, further concentrate production declines were offset by rising consumer incomes and a stronger złoty, which eased import costs; major players like Maspex, Hortex, and Argos Nova maintained their strong market presence, helping the market reach $322 million.
