The following year, new EU rules on plastic packaging reduction and recycling took effect, coinciding with significant investment in production facilities, including the entry of new players like Sika Everbuild, which expanded local manufacturing capabilities as import volumes rose to 44 381 t.

Over the period from 2017 to 2020, production fell by 9.5%, with an annualized decline of 3.3%. The highest value was recorded in 2018 at 2 832 K $ US, which saw a 10.7% increase. The largest decline occurred in 2019, with a drop of 9.6%.
