Suntory PepsiCo Vietnam opens $300 million Tay Ninh plant
Suntory PepsiCo Vietnam has started operations at a $300 million plant in Tay Ninh province, its largest investment in the country. The LEED Gold facility on more than 20 hectares adds to a network of six plants and targets domestic and regional demand.
Suntory PepsiCo Vietnam brings Tay Ninh plant online
Suntory PepsiCo Vietnam has started operations at a new plant in Tay Ninh province, a facility built with total investment of $300 million that the company describes as its largest in Vietnam to date. According to Dân Trí, the project underlines the joint venture's long-term confidence in a market it has operated in for more than 30 years and expands a production network that already covers six plants nationwide.
The site occupies more than 20 hectares in the IDICO Huu Thanh Industrial Park in Duc Hoa commune, Tay Ninh province. Dân Trí reports it is the largest and most modern plant Suntory PepsiCo runs in Vietnam and one of the top-scale production facilities in the combined Suntory and PepsiCo network across Asia, built to meet rising domestic and regional demand.
Technology at the core
The plant integrates automation, digital technology and smart-manufacturing systems from the design stage through to operation, according to Dân Trí. It was developed to LEED Gold standards and uses solutions such as biomass and solar power to improve operating efficiency. The company frames the project as part of a new generation of investment in which technology, operational efficiency and sustainability are built in from the outset rather than added later.
A record investment and a long-term bet
The Tay Ninh plant is the single largest investment Suntory PepsiCo has made in Vietnam and marks the next milestone in more than three decades of operations in the country. Lê Văn Hẳn, Deputy Secretary of the Tay Ninh Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People's Committee, said the project was not only a large-scale manufacturing operation but also a model for advanced technology and sustainable development, and would support technology transfer and the formation of a modern industrial ecosystem in the province. The company said the plant is expected to attract further high-quality investment to the locality. Across its network of six plants, Suntory PepsiCo says it has expanded capacity, created jobs, promoted technology transfer and contributed to the development of Vietnam's beverage industry.
Community and water programs
Alongside manufacturing, Suntory PepsiCo Vietnam runs the "Mizuiku - I Love Clean Water" program, which promotes water conservation among young people. By the end of 2025 it had reached more than 1.4 million students and 21,000 teachers across 34 provinces and cities and supported the construction or renovation of more than 200 clean-water facilities at schools nationwide, according to Dân Trí. In Tay Ninh, the program is expected to reach more than 140,000 students through teacher training over the 2024-2026 period.
