In 2019, the market expanded sharply to 1 640 tons. The COVID-19 pandemic disrupted global supply chains and altered consumer demand in 2020, leading to a decline in market volume to 1 525 tons.

Market volume continued to contract to 1 454 tons in 2021, reflecting prolonged pandemic-related adjustments. A modest recovery to 1 494 tons occurred in 2022 alongside continued development within the domestic winemaking industry.

In 2023, market volume fell to 1 222 tons. During the same year, the sector attracted significant investment for new industrial production, and the state-involved company Siyoma commissioned a wine-and-vodka production facility in Dushanbe. For 2024, the government approved a national food safety program covering wine products, and salary increases for public sector employees were implemented.
