Exports were also volatile, peaking at 179.2 thousand tonnes in 2022. By 2024 and 2025, import volumes continued their downward trend to 14.6 thousand tonnes, while exports moderated to levels around 79–80 thousand tonnes.

In the more recent years, the market environment was shaped by broader industry and consumer shifts. A national focus on halving food waste by 2030 influenced supply chain practices, while cool weather patterns affected demand for cooked vegetables.
