Market volume continued to decline, reaching 6 083 t in 2022. High inflation during this period directly pressured household budgets, leading consumers to adjust their food purchases and contributing to a drop in sales across processed vegetable segments, including frozen and canned products.

A sharp contraction followed in 2023, with the market falling to 4 311 t. Frequent drought episodes since 2022 disrupted raw vegetable availability and caused price spikes, severely limiting supply for processing. Concurrently, the number of specialized organic stores shrank, and sales of related preserved vegetable categories weakened, reflecting broad sectoral pressures. Into 2024, distribution dynamics continued to evolve with strong competition from large supermarkets, while processing for the foodservice and industrial sectors remained a significant demand driver.
